Hélène Alexandre is a self-taught French professional photographer (travel, landscape and Fine Art). Drawn to music and visual arts at a young age, particularly filmmaking, she first experimented with a Super 8 camera during her childhood. Living abroad was already on her mind then and at 18, she moved to the UK. She studied television production in London in the early 90s before working in the film industry for several years. Feeling a strong affinity with American culture, music and people, she moved to Los Angeles. During this time she travelled extensively across the USA, capturing on a camcorder and a 35mm camera her adventures on the road, the country's amazing landscapes, places and cities. On a trip through New Mexico, she met American Fine Art photographer David Michael Kennedy. Invited to his studio, she discovered the platinum/palladium printing process used for his beautiful photographs of landscapes and iconic portraits of musicians and actors. These experiences abroad proved to be a turning point in her life and back in London (UK), she dedicated more time to develop her photographic skills. She worked for a major magazine publishing company, IPC Media/Time Warner. Early 2010, she joined Avalon / Photoshot, a top London based photo agency and her images were distributed by them for several years.

In 2021, she created Immagia.com, an independent professional picture library offering Rights Managed Travel images for licensing.

With a passion for travel and landscape, through her lens she aims to capture the spirit of the countries she visits. Her approach to art and photography is very intuitive. Her creativity and inspiration are drawn from varied encounters with nature, people and places.

Having lived abroad for over 25 years (UK, USA & Germany), she has recently relocated to her native France.

Some of her pictures have previously been published worldwide in travel books and magazines.

She was an honorable mention winner of PX3, Prix de la Photographie Paris 2015 in the professional category: nature-landscape.
